I recently did an assignment for the Hagerstown Magazine.  This story was about a young boy, named Jason Barron, who died serving his country during WWII.  Sixty years later Jason’s family was contacted by a French man who found his helmet on his farm and kept it all these years.  An invitation was extended to the family to claim his helmet. The family accepted this invitation and traveled to the place where Jason’s life ended.  The family was treated like royalty by the entire town.  Memorials and celebrations occurred during their stay.  The family was touched by the deep gratitude that was extended to them even after 60 years of the war’s end.  Linda and Brian Heinrich wrote a book titled, Jason’s Helmet and have been speaking to civic groups to share their experience.  This spring the group plans to meet again in the states.

I just received a blog makeover and wanted to add some new pictures to it.  These are some new favorites from the Brianna Graham workshop.  I had alot of aspirations of possible posts but when I sat down to write them my inspiration escapes me.  So I thought any post is better than none and today is a good day write anything….as I have but one lonely post on my blog.  Hopefully more great inspirational posts to come!!
