    Welcome to my photography blog. I provide custom, lifestyle photography services to the MD, PA, WV, and VA area. I specialize in on-location photography for children, newborns, high school seniors, and weddings. I love style and fashion and enjoy playing with color and light. For me, photography is more than taking pretty pictures...it is the art of taking what is already there, seeing it in a fresh way, and making something beautiful out of it. I am deeply romantic and feminine. My photography style is dreamy and soulful. With every session, I strive to bring out the beauty of each person's story and to transform it into a timeless piece of art. Come join me on this journey!

Nick & Kelsey | Frederick, MD Wedding Photography

My favorite weddings are the ones that are full of romance and personality, the kind that comes authentically from the bride and groom.  Well, Nick and Kelsey’s wedding had both.  Kelsey has been a die hard country girl since she was just little and one of her first childhood heroes was none other than the great country Western actor, John Wayne.  Kelsey loves horses and was adament that their wedding portraits include her horses.  Nick is a Marine and a Country boy himself whose family lives in TN.  The couple got married in the bride’s family’s church in Foxville, MD.  The reception was held across the street in the church pavallion.  Right beside the pavillion was  an old barnwood dance floor and a haywagon for the DJ’s., which was the uber fabulous wife and husband team from Frederick, Shewsical Entertainment Services.  There were cow bells and daisies, horse shoes and cowboy boots.  The food was also catered by Dave’s BBQ.  Kelsey wore her favorite pair of worn in cowboy boots with her beautiful lace covered gown.  The couple is due in September with their first little boy and keeping right in step with the country theme, they are are planning on naming him–Wyatt Lane.  (BTW, I love the name and your style.  I am also a country girl at heart!) Nick and Kelsey much love to you both and many blessings to you as you become new parents.  I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your uniquely wonderful Country Wedding!!

MD Newborn Photographer| Baby Vada

This sweet little one came to the studio a few weeks ago.  She was one of the best sleepers that I have ever seen…in fact,  I barely even got to see her eyes during the shoot.  We were lucky enough to get shots of Baby Vada outside in the baby pram and in her mama’s arms.  Her mom also brought a vase of daisies that we added in as much as we could.  Welcome to the world, sweet Vada.  It was a pleasure meeting you and capturing some of your first sleeping moments!

Bob & Carissa Holbruner {PA Wedding Photography}

Bob & Carissa made their vows to love and honor each other on June 24, 2011 at Green Grove Gardens in Greencastle, PA.  The wedding colors were a modern blend of gray, yellow, navy, and white.  The wedding flowers were sunflowers and the center pieces were earthy stones with the guests names on them and crystal rocks.  Instead the traditional guest book, the couple had a painted tree in which the guests were asked to place their finger prints on the branches.  Carissa and Bob ceremony was totally fitting with their laid back and free spirited personalities.  Their first dance as a married couple was to In the Colors by Ben Harper.  Congratulations and much love and happiness to a very special bride and groom.  It was truly an honor to capture your PERFECT day!!

If Michelle Masser Photography were a teacup…

it may look like this…

Hey! Is it possible to get prints of the other pics you take? Love the teacup!

If Michelle Masser Photography were an afternoon treat….

it would look something like this:

This post was inspired by one of my favorite clothing line, Ruche.  On Mondays they post a picture of something that represents their style.  I thought that it would be fun to try out my new macro lens (105mm 2.8, that I love) and highlight my own personal style through some of my favorite things!  Enjoy and there will be more of these posts to come!
